the brauer family

I'll fully admit that I was nervous as heck the day before I shot the Brauer family. I'd just never had six kids at once to shoot. I was instantly relieved when I met them though. Not only did they have great taste in clothing (I'm a bit of a Gymoree addict myself ... and mom is too), but they were all such fun kids.

We met down at the Mantorville Park where we did some group shots and then broke out for individuals. After that I followed them over to the playground for a bit. By the time I left I didn't feel like a stranger ... but felt more like a friend.

Thanks again guys! I hope you enjoy your little sneak peak!

miles and family

I haven't seen Miles in a year ... but BOY is he a handsome young fella! I met him and his family at Oxbow Park last weekend for a family/3 year old session. After sitting them in a field of thistles and making them walk through river water up to their mid-calves, we took Miles down to the second bridge. He went up on the bridge to hang out with me and he did SO well!

Mom, dad and sister stayed back and watched from the edge ... which I have to say I TOTALLY appreciated. It's not that I don't like mom's and dad's around ... but I tend to let kids be silly, make faces and tell me stories. Often times with mom or dad so close the kids won't open up to that.

So thank you Carri and Erik for trusting me enough to let me be in total control of that part of our session! I hope you guys enjoy your portraits!! Here is a sneak peak for you!

norah

Little Miss Norah did so well this session. Her mom is having her pictures taken monthly and this was their third time back. Murphy's Law prevailed and of course the one day that mom really wanted Norah to take a nap was the day she went without one. It didn't seem to affect her at all though. Dad certainly has a way to bring out those smiles!

Thanks again for coming guys! Here's a sneak peak at Norah's session.

Marnie & David

I had the extreme pleasure of second shooting a wedding for Krystal Muellenberg yet again. Marnie and David were married on a beautiful June day in LaCrosse. Below are some of the pictures I captured that day.

Be on the lookout ...

... for a whole new look! With the holiday and a week away from home, I haven't updated in a while but that's because I've been working on a ton of behind the scene projects. Plans are being set in motion for a true website to grace www.kristinknudson.com. Whoo hooo!
